The Plain Omelette – You have to start somewhere
February 25, 2011 in General
I know this isn’t very exciting but you have to start somewhere. This will be the base omelette that we will be using as the starting point for all the other exciting, tasty omelettes that will be coming to the site.
- 3 Medium eggs
- Knob of butter
- 1 Tbl spoon of oil
- seasoning to taste
How to cook your omelette:
- Put the pan on to heat and add the oil and butter.
- Break the eggs into a dish and whisk them with a fork until well mixed, season to taste.
- When the butter has melted, pour in the whisked egg, as the egg mix starts to bubble keep bringing the cooked parts gently into the centre using a fork. This add texture to the omelette.
- Carefully shake the pan so that the cooked omelette moves and slightly and the edges are not stuck to the side of the pan.
- Gently fold the omelette in half using a fish slice.
- Leave on the heat for 1 more minute then serve.
